I have a 93', I know it's sad but i have the stock rims. I am working on new ones. my question is with the stockers how much bigger can i go??? I plan on lowering it someday and getting rims, but for now i need new tires. :xelicon: :xelicon: :xelicon:

P11 i have had 215/45/17 and 205/40/17 and now 215/40/17 with no issues.. lowered to the rock bottom my Ground Controls will allow me to go.

dude, I was next to a P10 freak when I was at the gas station today. his P10 was virtually stock, but clean as hell....and it t-stormed out here in chicago today. anyway, his car was just lowered. it looked goooood with the stock wheels. you should get a lowering kit if you're onna budget. changing wheels alone just don't cut it because of the fender gap being more obvious.

oh, and if I ever see anyone's car with just a wheel mod and no lowering, you'll hear me laughing from a mile away. nagahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!:frog:

I want to get a lowering kit. But where and how much?? I'm not looking for anything fancy, Just a lowering kit.

also, luke at digitalracer.com should be able to help you out as well. asking him about a lowering kit for your car. btw when u change your springs, change your shocks as well. yah, it'll cost you a lot more, but it's worth it and the hassle. stock shocks just dont have what it takes to work with lowering springs.

What tyres should I be using....

I have a 94 Primera eGT with 16" Schneider Alloys...

I have 205/50/16 Champiros on the front and
205/45/16 Bridestone G-Grids on the back.

Before you ask - the car was purchased like this...

I personally think the 50 series looks better as it fills the wheel well more..but I'm concerned it has thrown my speedo out...

Any suggestions on what are good tyres to use....if I replace them??

assuming your Primera had the same stock tire size as the US version G20... the stock tire size was 195/65/14 which has an overall diameter of 24.0 inches (not sure of the mm's)

for a 16" wheel.. 205/50/16 will give you the closest overall diameter to the 24.0 inches. 205/50/16's are usually 24.0 or 24.1 inches in diameter depending on the brand. this would give you zero or very little difference from stock.

205/45/16's will be undersized compared to stock, and will give a greater error as far as speedo calculations. 205/45/16's average around 23.3 inches in diameter

ok now i have a question. i replaced all my stock 195 65 14s with 205 60 14s. does this effect my speedo and if so how much? i really dont look at it mcuh but itd be good to know. thanx

checked a few tire manufacturers and 205/60/14 usually has an overall diameter of 23.7inches.. not too bad compared to 24.0

i am lookin at some 205-45-16 tires to go with 16 inch rims, however i do not know if they will be as low of a profile as i want. does anyone know how these tires look on a car, or does anyone have any pics or links of cars with 205-45-16 tires? thanks.
