A/C leaking

I'm new here . I have a 94s-10 and It's leaking coolant from the compressor actually it's leaking from the front of it at the clutch. I've talked too a few people and they said there was a seal in the front of the compressor that goes bad on occasion. this is the only place i can find leakage It's so bad that after about 10miles of driving i can see where it's throwing condesation all over the place and the clutch is drenched. anyway does any body know if that seal can be replaced and if it has a part number so i can order it. all the a/c shops want upwards of a 1000dollars to fix and i'm not paying that kind of money for it. thanks for any help.

AC leaks

I am a big fan of salvage yard parts, however you might check either AutoZone or Advance auto online. I was browsing AC parts and one of them had the clutch kit and other front compressor parts listed. PS: if the AC shop wants $1000, find a new shop. I can get a new compressor installed and AC recharged for about $300.

1000 dollars is insane any more than 300 INCLUDING a new compressor is too much i do a/c work very often at the shop yes there is a seal behind the clutch yes it can be replaced however you need a special tool to remove the clutch assy.
you should check arund and find a better a/c shop
