How many use these magnets, and do they really help prolong engine life?? Which are the best, the ones that go into the filter or outside the filter? Can they be purchased at an autoparts store?

Thanks

Next time you change your oil (or try it once if you don't), try checking the oil pan plug. It should have a magnet on the tip of the plug (or at least mine does). Wipe it down to remove any stray metal filings or fairy dust. This should do the same as a filter magnet... but if you really want one, try eBay... lots of them there.
