Exaust
Alright I have a 98 Neon Sport and it has dual exausts on the right side of the car. I want to get a nice Exaust tip for it. Im new to cars and i was wondering if i would have to get a different muffler so i wouldnt have dual exaust. If so what would be a good muffler to get and what would be a good exaust tip to get.

Re: Exaust
Actually you have a dual tip, not dual exhaust. The muffler you have actually flows real well. You don't have to get one with the dual tips, but make sure it flows well or you may see a loss in HP. Are you looking for performance or looks?

An exhaust tip is not going to change the sound any...you would have to replace the muffler for that.

How much you willing to spend?
You can go with the Dynomax piping that Modern performance sells for $75 and your choice of muffler. The Flowmaster Camaro 80 series is a nice compliment, but not a direct bolt on, but if you know someone who can hook it up that's always a benefit. Not to much to it, they would just have to add some hangers for you.

It's got quality as far as looks, but it is heavier than otehr mufflers out there and it doesn't sound that great. I would stay away from the Vibrant personally.

I have had mine for 2 years now with no problems. Modern Performance has it a little cheaper at $239.99. If I was going to do it again though, I would go with the Dynomax Piping and eliminate that last 90 degree bend and put a Magnaflow muffler on it. Combined price $159.98 from modern.

Re: Exaust
If you are still looking I have a camaro muffler with dual outlets and 3 inch tips .It sounds good and the tips really set off the car.I paid 250 for the 2.5 pipe cat back muffler tips and the labor all together. It is personally my favorite option.Hope this was at least a little help to you.

Re: Exaust
If i got that dynomax piping and that magnaflow mufler i would have everything i need to get it put on right? My friends uncle owns a muffler shop by my house and would be able to put it on for me.

The piping should come with clamps, but if not you can always buy them from an Autozone or someplace like that.
