Well, a couple of weeks ago my car started idling a little rough when in gear and stopped. Well after reading several posts around the web I decided a tune-up was instore for my car.

I have a 1994 ES fully loaded and have owned it now for about 2 months. I went to Autozone and got a new air filter, new plugs and I ask about the wires.

The guy pulls up the info on the computer and says that they have 2 sets available for the 626. The first is the Double Silicone set which runs $71.99 and the other is the Bosch set which runs $89.99...

I told the guy I would have to pass on the cables for the moment and so I drove home to install the filter and new plugs. Well, when pulling out one of the wires from the back plugs, I noticed this one came out too easy compare to the rest. After looking at the wire I noticed that the plastic portion of the wire wasn't actually connected to the metal that connects to the plug anymore, but the metal part was still stuf on the plug.

What I am guessing is that the guy that sold it to me tried changing the plugs as some point before selling it, and pulled too hard and separated it from the metal and was too lazy to either fix it or buy new wires.

So what did I do? I had to bite the bullet and go buy some new wires. I of course bought the Bosch since they were only $20 more then the other ones.

After installing the new plugs (which by the way the back one's were a pain in the ass since I had to go buy a 10" extension for my ratchet) and installing the new wires, the rough idling was fixed.

Well, that's my long as story... :sun:

So that cylinder wasn't getting a spark at all? Well, at least you fixed it. I bet it felt good to do it, too, didn't it? :D
