97 blazer power brake booster ???

Lost my power brakes the other day. good thing is I still have manual brakes. When I hit the brakes you can here an air rushing noise under the dash on the drivers side in the cab. Let up on the brakes an the noise stops. No oil leaks inside the cab or out by the master cylinder and brake booster. Is this a leaking booster? Could there be a leaking check or vaccum line on or around the booster? Any precautions about taking this job on?

Always welcome constructive comments...

Thanks

Easy job, just a little awkward working under the dash.

If it was the Vacuum hose you would have a very bad running motor, so I would think that it must be the booster. Although they don't go all that often.

I wouldn't be suprised if it's the last one that you'll ever have to replace, and it's just about the only brake part that I would ever consider getting used

It was the booster. Easy under the hood, but under the dash was a nightmare...
