Re: Engine clean-up help

soaked in degreaser then power washed with warm water i sabout the only way I know of.

But, you "found" a can of degreaser? The stuff breaks down, especially if it's been sitting in your garage in heat/cold.

Re: Engine clean-up help

yeah, you have to let it soak for a few minutes. It actually works best after running the motor for few to heat the surface.

and, if you go through extreme temp varations over the year, yes, stuff goes bad quick. every spring I find myself restocking.

Engine is out? Good. Simple green and a paint brush to scrub it a bit, then hose it off.

Re: Engine clean-up help

is the intake manifold iron or aluminum??? cuz if you are going true chevy style an iron intake should be painted orange with the rest of the engine, and if its aluminum, you shuld leave it nekked

Re: Engine clean-up help

lol, why would chevy use orange to paint their engines instead of red? lol, you said it your self 'chevy is red bowtie', so why not use red instead of orange?
