Question Tail light bulb replacement

My folks have a 2000 V70 wagon with a bad left (Drivers) side tail light. According to the dash panel readout, it is called the position lamp. The bulb below it has no wires going into the back of the socket and has a large tab to hold and twist the socket out of the housing. The one above it has wires going into the back of it and due to the body panel it is very hard (unless you have very small fingers!) to grasp the socket. Does this socket also twist to remove it from the fixture?

Hello 97bird

Yes you have to twist the sosket to get it out. And it is hard to get to!
The socket that is empty dont need anything there Volvo does that alot on there tail lights because the european taillights have fogs on both sides. Volvo leaves them empty in the cars in the states.
