Adapting to steering ratio

Hey guys - wasn't sure where to put this; probably belongs under style and technique, but I figuired more of ya would see it here. My question is this: I've been getting more and more into cart racing, and everytime I jump in a different car to race, it's tough to adapt to the steering for the first like 10-20 seconds of the race. Some of them have rediculously unresponsive steering, while others have extremely tight ratios. Does anyone have any ideas for how to be prepared for the steering before I start the race? Lots of these cars I have no idea what's in store for me until I start driving. Do any of u have any tips? Thanks.

Keep practicing, eventually you'll get so good at either you wont even think twice about it. Practice makes perfect.

It's important to read, like the Bible. But unlike the Bible we will strike you down if you jerk off around here.

the best drivers will take quick note of the abilities of a vehicle and adjust their style to manipulate the vehicle and use it to its full potential.... God I need to stop watching initial D
