Retained Accessory Power (RAP) not workingSudman 07-19-2005, 08:54 PM '03 Alero - I notice that when I turn off the car the radio no long stays on till I open the door. It looks like the Retained Accessory Power is not working. Does anyone know what might have caused this and how to fix it? Thank You. Does anyone know what might have caused this and how to fix it? Thank You. Check the fuse feeding the RAP relay. The problem on the Alero is there is no independent fuse. The RAP relay gets power from one of the other fuses but its not marked in any of the 3 fuse blocks. Anything else not working correctly? Maybe that the sensor for the automatic headlights takes longer to turn off from when I first bought the car. But that is it. But that is it. Its a real mystery as to which fuse feeds the RAP relay on the Alero. BTW - GM calls it the Accessory Time Delay Relay. I'll see if I can find a wiring diagram.
