Head swap? "Z" vin to "W" vin?

Can i swap heads and intake manifolds from a bad 95 "W" engine and put them on a good 95 "Z" engine?
If so, would there be any up/downsides?
Will the original pcm work fine?
From my understanding, the only difference that will require attention are the new headgaskets and lower/upper manifold gasket?

If someone can help m eout, I would greatly appreciate it

Re: Head swap? "Z" vin to "W" vin?

Will the heads fit? YES
Will the Z computer work with the W code CPI? NO

If your heads are bad, You can swap the heads, but keep your Z-code intake.

If you have OBD2, then use new TTY head bolts for and follow the head bolt torque specs for 1996 and up motors. Buy TTY bolts listed for 1996 & up, only about $13 a set at autozone.

Heads on Z or W engines are exactly the same in 94 & 95.
Heads from 96 and newer will not fit your intake.
