Exclamation my 1989 beretta gt will not start

I Just Bought My Car Yesterday And They Said It Need Gas And We Put Gas In It And It Still Will Not Start And When You Turn The Switch On And Try To Start It The Switch Gets Hot And When You Turn On The Switch You Can Not Hear The Gas Thing Turn On Please If Any One Can Help Me Please Help Me

the ignition gets hot.. I would mae sure that the ignition switch hasn't go out. You also could check to make sure that it isn't a dead battery
