blazer acceleration

i have noticed a few people saying that if they floor their blazer the acceleration gets really slow at 30 to about 38 mph and then the shift is really hard or sometimes wont shift until you let off the gas a lil. Is this normal for everyone else?

Re: blazer acceleration

No, I have a mutant truck. She downshifts into 1st and wears a 1/4" off the rear treads. I am glad too that GM usually ships sub-quality transmissions, think of all of the rubber trees they are saving! No, really man, take it back to the AAMCO shop and if you can, stuff it down their throats, they have done you a disservice IMO.

well i cant take it back until my truck can make it up to the shop, if i give my blazer more than 2000 rpms it spudders and eventually just turns off after the check guages light comes on. Service engien soon light is on reads oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 1, i am assuming and knock sensor which is probbaly being causes by low fuel pressure, autozone doesnt have a pressure reader to borrow for free and im not buying one, so i am just removing the plenum and hpoing it is the cpi, after putting in the new fuel pump and sending unit this has got ot be my problem i figure, it needing just a tune up would most likely not cause the vehicle to just shut off

Re: blazer acceleration

you have a listening problem?

I told you what the problem was, now your new plugs are going to be fouled with fuel from the leaking CPI.

Don't ask questions if you are not going to consider the advice.

It is a waste of time to the people contributing.

How did they inspect it?

Did they remove the plenum cover and look for leaking fuel?

yes theres was no fuel to be found what so ever, passenger side seemed to be a lot cleaner than the drivers side but not really clean, i think it may be a coil, i did a tune up and no help at all

If the driver's side is washed clean in area, your nut kit is leaking and should be replaced.

If there was no leak whatsoever, both sides should be totally black.

Re: blazer acceleration

well the dealership i took it to my buddy owns it isint a gm authorized so i dont even know if his mechanic knew what he was talkin about but i got it looked at for free opposed to paying $60 but i guess that didnt help me at all. So what if the the passenger side looks wiped clean because i just tok the plenum off today and the passenger half looked pretty clean, not a lot of black on it at all really, so is this the cpi, because it my boat, after it got warmed up, if you gave it to much gas it would just quit and this was due to the ballist resistor and the coil, i ran the boat today and it ran liek a champ all day. I know theres a difference and boats and cars but mechanics are mechanics. So please tell me what a washed passenger side means.
