a freakin baretta?
so anyway a few months ago i purchased a (rice) 00 civ si with a jdm b16 n that thing was ssssllllooooowwww.........didnt get to race much with it one was with a 00ish vette (but of course i lost big time) n the other race was against a FREAKING EARLY 90 CHEVY BARETTA!
me n my two friends were crusing in da civ wen this baretta with a shitty spray can paint job (and nothing else) next to me stomps on it n goes. so i was like *eehh* we catch a red light n wait for a green. theres three poeople in my car (including me) n four in his so im like *im going to eat this kid* so i rev it and *bam* we launch at green, but wait, were gana be headn up a bridge so im like *pull muda fuka pull*and the civ is like *uurrgghh* *im pulling mudafuka, im pulln all i can* but the baretta is still infront of me by like a foot so we get to the top and start headn down hill and the baretta in front of me and theres a red light downhill so i start hittn da brakes we must of hit like 60-70 mph in dat race n i couldnt beat the baretta.......for shame .....well any way i ended up crashin that slow ass civic(not racing, but something way 2 stupid for me 2 tell u guys ) so im ever glad to get rid of that thing something was wrong with dat car and YES I DO KNOW HOW TO DRIVE cus this was my second 00 civ si and i rarely lost in my first one.....

Re: a freakin baretta?
and the baretta GTU's were even faster. Do some research on 'em.

DAMNIT! I cant read a thing.

Another way of looking at this equation is that an F1 would need "only" 740 hp to reach the Bugatti's top speed.

Re: a freakin baretta?
the research i found said the GTU's had 125hp and the GT's had 140... there was a 383hp AWD 2.8 Twin turbo beretta concept...

Huh? The GTU came with a 3.1L Turbo, which I believe was built by ASC. It made something like 210hp I thought.. whereas the GT had the 3.1 NA and made like 140..
edit: "mudafuka" or however he spelled it. I cant believe this is my generation. I'm ashamed..

Re: a freakin baretta?
"To give some meaning to the racy lines, the GTU, which is based on the Beretta GT model, is also equipped with a 2.8-liter/173-cubic-inch V-6, a five-speed manual transmission and the Z51 Performance Handling Package, which includes ''Level III'' sport suspension with larger stabilizer bars and specially valved struts and shocks."
there is absolutely no mention of any turbo models , one of the models though did get a .92g lateral on the skidpad
