First highway race...94ToyoCam 07-15-2005, 02:13 PM Me and my friend were coming back from the local bowling alley when we decided to go check out the local races....My car is a 1994 Toyota Camry (4 banger, auto) that hasen't gotten the proper attention under the hood...his car is a 03 Nissan Altima 2.5, auto (this car is quick  ). I always told him i've wanted to race from a roll, so we jumped on the highway(no traffic at 11:30pm )....since it was my first highway race i was nervous and i didn't get into my powerband(around 3 rpms)....at about 60 i honked it down...1..2..3...we both went WOT and he didn't go anywhere!!! I was suprised, i held him from about 60-70 then he started pulling, By 90 he was only 2-3 cars away....then i slowed down because i remembered i had someone following me to get to the local races...now i have some inspiration to get the cam to go faster. for the lazy readers: raced a 03 altima 2.5 from a 60 roll...60-70 held him and then lost. Ace$nyper 07-15-2005, 03:07 PM wow i'm surprized you hung with him thats nice death and alot better story then most the crap posted latly. CamaroSSBoy346 07-15-2005, 11:29 PM That was a little out there. You okay dude? The guy removed his origional posts.. :icon16: 94ToyoCam 07-16-2005, 09:55 AM hopefully next time i post i'll have something good to post :evillol: G-man422 07-16-2005, 06:23 PM well, i hope that makes you kinda proud of your little camry, and makes you want to start giving it the attention it needs. Aerowitz 07-16-2005, 06:31 PM You should race against this (http://www.theautochannel.com/media/photos/geo/1997/97_geo_metro_2d.jpg) next time. That'd be a much better story. :icon16: TatII 07-16-2005, 07:17 PM or maybe the 95-98 V6 stangs. hahaha ( you might actually beat one ) rice(er) 07-17-2005, 06:59 PM not bad, hey, what was ur score at the bowling alley? i usually average about only 150 per game, woot NoRiceHere01 07-17-2005, 09:59 PM so now does this mean that ur camry is almost as quick as an altima, or that the altima is almost as slow as a camry? im not mockin u in the toyota at all. im sayin that if i had that altima and thought it was quick id be pretty upset about the whole thing. if ur gonna race ur car u better be able to destroy a 4 cylinder camry from any gear. GForce957 07-18-2005, 01:42 AM that camry has gotta be pretty damn weak, cause a my family had the 2.5 altima as a rental for a week and that car was slow. I think the 0-60 is mid 8's. Good attempt tho, and good luck with the future stuff drftk1d 07-18-2005, 07:14 PM the 2.5 altima is not quick. race a 3.5. THOSE are quick. ive seen one eat a wrx (both slightly modded). 94ToyoCam 07-21-2005, 12:18 PM the 2.5 altima is not quick. race a 3.5. THOSE are quick. ive seen one eat a wrx (both slightly modded). well keep in mind i drive a 11yr old car...but then again anything quicker that the cam is quick 2 me lol....yea i've seen the 3.5's run, but i didn't kno they can take a wrx with slight mods. 94ToyoCam 07-21-2005, 12:19 PM not bad, hey, what was ur score at the bowling alley? i usually average about only 150 per game, woot i started bowling like a few weeks ago(noob)...i usually avg 60-70 lol CBFryman 07-21-2005, 03:05 PM not bad, hey, what was ur score at the bowling alley? i usually average about only 150 per game, woot :eek7: 178 was my best.... werent you banned? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
