well he did have 6 cylinders on me...

So after a good night of over-21-activites I still had not fallen asleep at 5am, so loaded up on Aderols (sp?) (kids don't try this at home) and knowing that I had to send in a car payment, I ventured out to the local wawa to get a money order at 6am.

Cruising 15mph over the speed limit I made it ot Wawa safe and sound, got my money order and proceeded on my way. On the way out I saw an NA Dodge Stealth at a stop light and decided to race it...in my mom's 4 cylinder NA subaru Impreza. While I took it off the line, it did proceed to catch up and pass me in the midst of 3rd gear, and I gave up soon after. Resigning myself again to a 60mph cruise with absolutely zero traffic (6am) I continued on my way.

All of a sudden I spot a black and gray (paintjob) pickup with a spoiler turning into my path. Not thinking much at the time, I attempt to pass it. Failure... What turns out to be a custom-painted srt-10, decides to zoom past me at 100mph+.

The road is clear, we both catch a light, and I'm up for a race. Longing for my vr4, I floor my mom's POS AWD 4 cylinder Subaru prematurely getting a jump on the green light and the Dodge. My lead lasted seconds as his 6 cylinder advange became far-to-evident as he passed me as if I were standing still. He floored it, as did I, but to no avail, as he simply left me behind like a 10 cylinder should. After what seemed like a few seconds he was a mile ahead of me and all I could see were faint glows of his taillights, as I hung my head in defeat and took my turn home.

The bright side was that it was only the 2nd srt-10 I've ever seen.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

good death, I know how it is to be driving the grocery getting car and all of a sudden seeing a lot of cars you wish you could race in your other car.
Oh and Aderol? That stuff gives me the shits.

Re: well he did have 6 cylinders on me...

I have yet to see an SRT-10 so far. I've already seen a new Ford GT though, what are the odds of that.

Nice deaths anyway...2 in one night, ouch. Time to talk your mom into upgrading to an STI

Seriously...I thought he was gonna give us a kick ass story of him racing an exotic with his VR4. I demand a refund!
What a waste of time this thread is!

young it was an SRT-10 RAM.

His VR4 shoulda taken it, they're only good for a mid 13 if i remember right, and his car should be lower then that... unless it's not running right, which might be the case, I don't actually remember :P (sorry vert :P )
Plus he's got aerodynamics in his favor,

Re: well he did have 6 cylinders on me...

yeah it was the truck, not the viper, so I would have had him with the vr4. But it isn't running right now, and times like these really make me miss it.
