i've got a 2003 neon r/t. from what i understand, the tank is 12.5 gallons.

the gauge was at 1/8th a tank left, and i had to refill. but it stopped filling after about 7.5 gallons.

i've searched, and i saw a FEW threads about something like this... the fuel gauge reading empty for 75 to 100 miles. i just want to know, is this something that happens to ALL neons (of the same year/generation as mine atleast), of is it something that happens "every so often"?

i got this car less then 30 days ago from carmax, so i still have the bumper to bumper thing... so is this something they can, and will fix for free?

You aren't from NASA are you? I heard on the news that the Space Shuttle's fuel gage isn't working either.
