Altima fun

Taking the long way home from a meet I caught a fairly isolated light, since its been so nice out all my windows were down and sunroof open. I figured I would enjoy what my car was made for, cursing but nooooo. A nice new (looked it) black Altima pulled up next to me, fairly sure it was a 2.5 manual. I was only really half expecting a run tonight but; oh what the hell, I just came back from a meet where all the cars say a handfull would hand my ass to me, I was in the mood. I couldn’t really see the guy inside because of his tint, but assume he had a big grin on his face after I gave him "the nod". The light turns green, neither of us launch, half expecting the other to puss out. We floor it in perfect synchronicity and take off in a hurry down the road. As soon as my foot hits the floor my tires brake loose for a second and then im off (mmmm torque). Mr. Altima is a at my fender at this point. My tires get traction right when I hit the meat of my powerband and proced to widen the gap. By the time 6.5k rpm rolls around were both speeding and hes at my door . The tranny shifts and instead of the usual extra umph of 2nd and the headlights that appear in my review the Altima made up its ground and was back at my fender but a bit closer and he was gaining! I knew I fell slightly out of the power when I shifted and knew I would atleast hold him the rest of the way through second. Unfortunately I hadn't noticed the Mazda 3 that had pulled out in my lane 400 fee in front of me "Damnit". I let off the gas and Mr. Altima pulls ahead 20 feet, I fall behind and pass the 3. When I get around the three Mr. Altima's window is now rolled down. I pull up beside him still doing well over the limit, we both yell "Nice" once again in perfect unison, :\. He takes the first left and I continue home.

Cliff notes:
Had a fun run with a Altima
Mazda 3s are evil
Got killed by my crappy topend

that's maxima speak for Drop Resistor...apparently he has an auto, because that mod allows the automatic transmission to shift at full pressure every time...I think.
