Question Tire Choices

Just wondering what everyone is running for tires. I'm due for a set soon and was curious what y'all had and what y'all liked the best.

Re: Tire Choices

the only thing i can compare to is 2 pairs of uniroyal tiger paws....decent for the low price, but nothing great in either milage or performance....

Re: Tire Choices

i have some shitty delta essex tires on there. There about racing slicks i really cant drive in the rain safely. Im going to go and buy a pair of 225/60/16 Generals $350.00 for installation, mounting, balancing, etc. and a free $100 shopping card from pep boys.

Toyo Tires

After much research for the better part of the month, today I went and installed 4 Toyo PROXES TPT's. Immediately after picking up the car and driving it, I thought I had a new car under me. The road noise was very low, steering much more responsive, bumps were non-existant, and the grip! Let's just say that there is more grip from these tires than the car can handle. Before these tires I had the original Goodyear GA's - might as well have driven on stone tires like the Flintstones! The Toyos are very good in the wet as well although it has yet to rain here but I can't wait until it does. They come with a 100 000KM warranty. Besides the research, many of my friends and 2 family members have Toyo tires on their cars. Nothing but rave reviews. They are a little pricey but worth every penny. Plus, tires are one thing you don't want to skimp on from a safety standpoint. Hope this helps.

Re: Tire Choices

one thing i forgot....i dunno if it's me, but the uniroyals on my impala pick up rocks like crazy.....it's an annoying sound, rolling down the window to hear a "tick, tick, tick..." a couple times a week...then a few days of silence....for weeks i thought i'd picked up a nail, and was checking the tires constantly until i realized what was really going on...
