I bought these Enkei 18.5" rims WITH low profiles off one of my friends. They came off his fine-ass cousins 3000GT VR4 show car. She paid over $1300 for the complete package, and I paid $385 for the whole thing. There is some slight wear on the front tires (now the back), but the other paid look brand new still. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of these. Kinda bigger than what I wanted, but I was in massive need of new tires (bald, patchy, uneven). And anything beats my stock 15"s I had on there. Beggers cant be choosers neither, am I right? The car just need to be dropped an inch, but that comes later. Im broke and I need brakes. Getting new brakes this week. I have no back brakes. They grind and don't stop anymore, so the car is out of commission for now.

And I finally proved to a bunch of people that I can beat a turbo car. I beat 2 this week. One was a 97 TSI RWD. The guy didn't know what he had done to it because he had just bought it. Loud turbo and BOV. Looked really nice. We went for it and hit about 110. All I heard was my engine blarring and the turbo and BOV behind me in the other lane. Great sound when it's behind you. He couldn't catch me.

Then yesterday I raced some 1st gen DSM (not sure exactly what it was). Only FWD tho. You can hear the turbo spool up. My bro was with me and a video camera. We went and was side-by-side, but I pulled away and then burned him once we hit 3rd. I love my 420a. Just wanted to share. How bout them rims, uh?

How in the hell did you beat a turbo DSM with only your moderately modded N/T? Was the guy a really shitty driver? That dosn't seem right. Your car can't be more than like 180-190 hp right? Let's see the video.

Don't have the video anymore, but I assure it was done... twice. I don't know what happened to it. I think my bro fucked it up as usual. I will try to get some again. My friends seen it and they got some respect for me now. Both times the drivers did good shifts. They peeled out quite a bit when taking off. Im good with riding the clutch so no burning from me.

Mostly because it is. I'm sorry but I also own a 420A, but with only an AEM CAI. The thing can get smoked by normal cars like my mom's 200 hp taurus that weighs a ton, but still whoops my ass. Those turbo DSM's should have wasted you.

you really shouldn't have been able to beat those two if you can't beat the awd. there is a good weight difference and the 1g weighs less than a 2g.

might have been a pos automatic with a grandma driving it...but no, couldent have been a turbo dsm, maybe one with the 'whistler" in the exhaust lol. But damn good deal on the rims....haha my mom has a taurus wagon with the 3l v6 it actually hauls ass for a wagon....lol way faster than my old civic, funny to drop to neutral in the automatic and rev on some dumbass in a fart can integra....LOL

That 1G sounded and looked like shit. Headlights were half hanging off, primer special, and panels were destroyed. Some punk-ass kids were driving it. Peeling out all crazy and shit. Could have been a whistler. The 2G was a turbo though. Loud with a BOV. Im trying to find someone to race with a GST or RWD TSI. I wanna show ya guys.

Oh, and the package with the rims actually cost alittle more. Had to spend $35.01 on lug nuts to fit. LOL. Ebay special.

what do you keep meaning by RWD TSI? there aren't any rear-wheel drives. you maybe raced a FWD TSI but not a RWD.

Thanks ---. Yeah, full exhaust is on too. The chip remapped the A/F curve. It now runs alittle richer than stock. Did see a difference. I would suggest something better, but the price was good.

Just got her back from the shop. Got brakes done. Just stock OEM brakes. New rotors. My hook up decided to bomb out on me. Anywho, dropping is coming soon. Just need some money first. Need shocks too now.

I'll look through my e-mail and try find the link to the shocks/springs I bought. They're Tokico HPs and lower the car 1.5". They cost $340 + $40 for shipping. I've had them for about 4 months now and fucking love them. The stance is aggressive and they didn't ruin my smooth ride much at all--I barely noticed a difference.

It was. The header was 180 or so shipped. You can feel it pull through the higher rpm range. Also sounds deeper in that range. It screams when it hits 4200rpm. Didnt do that without the header. It may have been cheap, but it does have a gain. I love it.

And before you get on the dyno, buy something to tune the car, then get some cams and camgears. You can make an easy 30 hp with cams if you tune it right.

I wanna get cams, but at $500, i dont have that right now. Still owe my mom for the brakes I had to buy because I needed them and I was broke. Also need an alignment too, and don't have the money for that neither. :-( I suck.

I want DSM link... got an extra laptop laying around now. But again, no money. I wish there was something cheaper to be able to easily tune. I do want a dyno now just to see where I stand. At my boys shop, I can get 5 runs for $40. Not too bad in my book.

And my stocks were 15 across. Measured them and the Enkei's. They're 18.5 from tip to tip.
