me vs BMW R 1150 RS

This was fun.

Drove my sis to the big city and looked for races on the way back. Again not much of a succes but near the end of an otherwise fun trip motorlights came closer.

I thought nothing of it and continued to cruise on when he came hanging near me and made a friendly head gesture at me. I look at his motor, bike, whatever you call them in english. And see it's a BMW. I smile at him and nod back.

He just continues along and passes me.

At this point i was already thinking that i would like to race this one. I would definately loose but that's not the point. I would finaly race, were my thoughts. And yes, a few miles down the road a light changes red.

I rolled up in the second lane and checked if he would like to go. He looks for a split second, looks back to the road and start giving his bike some gas.

Yihaa, it's on.

Green and we both go for it. The first two gears i stayed pretty close. He was at my frontbumper and took half a carlenght through those two gears. In third he took a car and a half and called it a quit at about 160 km/h. I honked once and he waved back. For the rest of the trip i stayed behind him and went cruising again. Surprised i could hang a bit with a bike like that. Now i'm not sure it was the bike i mentioned above but went looking in the bmw sites and came up with this very similar looking bike so. Maybe it was an older year, could be.

Anyways, a fun race.

PS: litttle question. Any good recommendations for a hostsite for little movies. Or maybe someone wants to be a host. Got some little teasing movies for you guys. Not much, but atleast something. it's done with a camera for fotos. Until we really are going to film something good and clean this could do.

Late

Bimmer vs Beamer, very nice. Nothing like a touch of family rivalry. Also, I got your PM, and I dunno how to host movies, Im having enough trouble getting the pics of my car off a disc and onto my computer to host.

Oh, ok, np.

It's just that i thought that you told something like that to me in the past, about hosting videos. But that must be somebody else then.

Family rivalry is always cool. It makes for a smile on yr face. Wether you win or loose.

Actually, the whole racing thing does that.

I'mma go against the grain... BMW.

ha haa...

I wouldn't think a 320d... being a diesel would be that peppy. Hmm 163hp and 251ft-lbs @ 2000rpm.

the only healthy redenation is probably that he didn't went full with his bike, maybe because it was new or maybe because he was new at driving.

Cause really, i stayed that close to him. I was a bit shocked to and that's y i had to look it up.

You can count on it that i never ever BSed or lied on this forum. I wouldn't dare plus i don't see the point of that. It's just not me to do that.

Third explanation is that it could have been a much lower hp bike then i gave at the title.

Ps: Red, i don't understand what you're saying here: "I'mma go against the grain... BMW.

ha haa..."

And streetracer 00, i don't have mondo genormous torque available, if that 'him' refers to me oc.

Are you guys laughing with me?

i came to this forum cause i thought we were all carlovers who like fe: can't afford to go to the race circuit and so practiced racing on the streets by bying them a "fast" car and maybe mod it.

I try to put lots of my effort in writing down my "races" so YOU guys can read them. Cause i can read yr storys too, i think that's a nice way to share things you come across with or without yr car.

I do not care for this moment that my car is not fast, cause it's package in it's whole is very nice. The drive fast feeling combined with perfect handling and comfort/ luxury is wy i buyed this car. Not to tune her or be the fastest one on this forum in the first place.

I never pretend that my car is fast. Hell, I even assumed it was slower then it really is in the 1/4 mile.
Where are you guys going?

This second reply is dedicated to the post and the whole thread of SS/SC plus to this weird replys above.

Just be yrselves and post what you gotta post, no BS

That's also for all the guys who make replys full of BS, instead of the post itself being BS!

Sorry, had to spit this out.

Don't worry about it Bro... we're not calling you out. You'd know it if we were, cause you've seen it before!

By me saying going against the grain, I'm not using a cute slang word like Bimmer or Beamer... So I'll just state what it is, a BMW.

Or if I wanted to get techincal, Bavarian Motorworks!

Bavarian... that's such a cool word. I'mma start calling random things that. "Yeah, my toaster oven is all extra Bavarian... it toasts my bread very efficiently... you can tell... it has the mark of efficiency" *points to BMW badge on toaster*

My toater toasts with VTEC. So it's better than yours.*points to VTEC badge*. If it isn't a VTEC, it's just a reject...

Anyway, you seemed to farewell against a bike. Congrats to you speedthrilla . I never did get to see your vids. Guess I didn't get to them in time. Anyway, great jawb...
