All right I have 96 GSX with a 6-bolt, and i have a a really, really bad tick from from my engine, i thought it was a lifter but i cleaned all my lifters...twice and i cant get rid of it, and it comes and goes too... could it be a loose valve spring, or something... anythoughts would be good. thanks

I have a six bolt swap too and mine ticks randomly. I put my money on that its lifter tick and roll up the windows to block it out :sunglasse

i have a 6 bolt and so far have not have a problem with it....what area or general place is the tick comming from , can you pin point it?

Its right under the "VALVE" on the valve cover
