Angry headlights

This problem just started. One morning I went to go start my car and it was dead. Well I got a jump and the headlights where on but my button wasn't pulled out. They wouldn't go off causing to drain my battery. The only way I can keep my car running is to pull the fuse that runs the headlights and also my door locks. And my left blinker won't work unless messed with. What in the world could of happened to my car?

Re: headlights

If you pull the switch for the headlights out, do they go off? I would think you have a bad fuse or a bad ground somewhere. What year is your neon?

Re: headlights

I had a broken high/low beam switch in my steering column. It jammed the high beams on. I fixed it, but there are a lot of little pieces that can get out of place.

No they wouldn't go off. After jumping the car I drove it to work and nothing, they where still on. Oh and my neon is a 95. Come to find out there was a recall on the steering harness back then and I don't think that ever got changed I wonder if that could have anything to do with it.
