thats , theres no way your stock 3.4 liter camaro would come close to touching a 98 mustang gt, whether it was automatic or not

Eh, that GT was in the bad years of the 4.6 when it was still finding itself. If it happened it happened. If you did beat him though his engine wasn't running 100%.

Re: 3.4 liter camaro v.s gt mustang
I can believe a 4th gen. 200 HP 3.8L V6 Camaro beating a '94-'98 Mustang GT, but I have trouble believing that a 3.4L could do it, both stock and automatic.

Re: 3.4 liter camaro v.s gt mustang
Agreed, the 98 was a bad year but still well enough to off to take down a 3.4 camaro. This is either BS or the GT wasn't racing.

Re: 3.4 liter camaro v.s gt mustang
The mustangs transmission would definately benefit from a shift kit, its strong but sluggish. I think the GT would win hands down against a 3.4 liter though. If it was the 3.8 it would be almost believable.

Why buy a V6 Camaro? I don't care if you beat him you bought a Camaro and didn't buy the V8, thats disappointing in itself
