Please Help!! My ABS Service Vehicle and Trac Off Lights are all ON

Please Help!! My ABS Service Vehicle and Trac Off Lights are all ON. Sometimes when I start my 00 Grand Am they are off but then after a few miles all lights will come on. Anyone have any ideas? Thank You.

I heard it may be a sensor or wheel bearings could anyone also tell me the cost of the fix. Thanks again!

ABS and Traction control not working, doesn't sound all that bad. Makes driving more fun instead of having them pesky ABS and Traction controls getting in the way. But based on the location of the wheel sensors it's quite possible that one of em is causing the problem. You real have to ask the computer to see whats wrong.

I just went through the exact same problem. It was my battery! Holy cow. The dang thing just died. Once we replaced that - no more warning lights.

Probably not. It is most likely the wiring harness for one of the wheel sensors. Scan the computer and if it says speed sensor intermittent then it is the wiring harness. It will also say which wheel it is.

Check battery voltage, sounds like a bad battery or alternator, low voltage will cause every warning light on dash to come on.

Re: Please Help!! My ABS Service Vehicle and Trac Off Lights are all ON

You probly will have to replace the HUB bearing assembly.the hub has bearings and the wheel speed sensor for the asb all in one part. This is probley why your ABS and TRACK OFF lights are on. But it really should be diagnosed by a qualified mechanic. THe trick is replace them in pairs. They run around 120$ each but expext to pay out the wazoo to have someone else do them, they may be covered in your warranty that is if you have a warranty. My 99' was covered the first time, but the others I paid out the wazoo(1100$). The last time I done it myself, took a day. The entire wheel assembly has to be taken off with a Special TooL I picked up one at my local Auto store and I kept it, just in case they need replaced Agian. Hope that helped. \,,/ \,,/
