2002 front suspention problem

My 2002 has a creaking sound coming from the front suspension. It seems to be more prevalent when I first start driving and after 20 miles I don’t notice it. I hear it when I go over bumps regardless of speed as well when I accelerate from a stop (hard or not) and the front end rises. Any ideas something to fix/replace maybe something just needs to be lubed?

Re: 2002 front suspention problem

Spray the a arm bushings with a good quality silicone lube. If the bushings are dry this will lube them and take the noise away. Since this is a Grand Am I would also look to the struts and the upper strut mounts. For some reason they tend to do this after the car has some mileage on it. There is nothing you can do except replace the upper strut mounts and bushings if that turns out to be the problem.
