changing brake pads on '94 grand am

Can any one tell me if it is a torque or hex bolt and what size it is that I will need to remove when replacing the brake pads on '94 grand am

It's 3/8" Hex bolt, it's a common size for brakes. Also the proper spelling is torx. :-)

Like cat says.

Buy a hex-bit socket, 3/8 drive, so you can use a ratchet on the bolts, about 3-4 bucks at any auto-supply. Makes things a lot easier to pull the bolts.

Just watch where your fingers are when you are pulling on the wrench on the passenger side, if anyone has done them before and damaged the heads, its really easy for the socket to slide out and things to fly....
