repairing cracked headlight on an '01 impala

some jerk backed into my car on sunday afternoon while i was out golfing. thankfully the car was parked in front of my parents house.. and the offender is a neighbor's boyfriend.

he knocked at my folks' door , apologized for hitting the car, and offered to fix the damage himself.

(got this info second-hand)

i don't want to go through insurance for this.. i'm sure he doesn't. odds of me letting him fix my car are between unpossible and never ever.

he WILL however be paying for the repairs. just trying to get an idea of what i should be looking at cost-wise?

OR

is it easy enough to fix that i could do it myself?

yea....ebay....u can get a whole new headlight for around $100-125...then u can install it urself. it's not a hard job, if u dont have any experience, there are resources online that can help.
