Re: You Go Boom?
BOV, Nice Exhuast, etc.=1,000,000,000,000,000xIninifty+2 times greater than any subs. I honestly don't see any point in putting so much cash or time into a damn radio, unless you live in your car. Like, eat, sleep, drink, take school courses, get married, etc. in your car, then its all a waste of money. It doesn't do anything for your car either. I mean, if you have a POS Slow Ass Geo with an umpteen thousand dollar system...it still a slow ass POS Geo. I mean, if you at least put the money towards making it fast, its a Fast POS Geo. And my stock system in my car is just fine.

Re: You Go Boom?
My Z didn't have a radio, I drove it for nearly 2 years that way.

Re: You Go Boom?
No, my "turbo BOV" can't do any of the above. But it can do this (sound clip). Actually that is very very close to the exact same setup as me. Except its on a 7M-GTE with a T04E where as I'm KA24DE with a T04B. Same exact BOV sound tho. Scares all the kiddies.

Re: You Go Boom?
I hate noise, but love sound. Subs to me = noise, crisp clean sound comes from nice speakers. All i need is something to play my cd's and hear them well. No need for some 50 pound box that does nothing but rattle the trunk.

Bass is great stuff, I'm going to toss my Fosgate 12 inch Punch 2's in the Cobalt soon. Tehy are in truck boxes and only wiegh about 8 pounds per unit.
Gotta have loud music. Plus i think Bov's are a little obnoxious.

Re: You Go Boom?
BOVs are obnoxious? A car wearing an SS badge that can barely break 14s is obnoxious.

So any 1960s SS Chevelle or Camaro is obnoxious????
As for radios, I'm not ever giving up my Sirius Satellite Radio, but I'm not going to be spending any more then the $149 a year it takes to renew it on a radio, lol.

Re: You Go Boom?
Allow me to refrase...any modern car with a SC wearing an SS badge and can barely break 14s is obnoxious. Anyways, I still hold that a good exhaust note, nice lope for a motor, a free reving German I6, Just about any Prancing Horse or Raging Bull, or BOV is better than any subwoofer.

Lol. Ahh, I think they (Cobalts) will do OK.
And I'll take open headers, a .650 lift roller cam, and about 7000 RPMs from a small block chevy over 4 subwoofers, lol.
