I just used that title in reference to the power of M. ///M3 that is. I had the oh so wonderful experience of being ,how do you say, beaten by one. Tonight is a rather busy night, due to the fact that there is one huge parade going on tomorrow for the 4th of July. So, looking to catch some races, I decided to venture up to my stomping grounds. Along the way, I met up with a few so so racers, and a few not so so racers. That is until I saw
"it".
I pulled along side, and could see nothing more than the outline of the driver and their passenger. The windows were tinted incredibly dark. I playfully jumped and slowed down. Feeling almost stupid knowing that at any moment, I would be plucked, raped, and left for the pickin' at his will. Although, this didn't grab his attention much, a few fellow diesel players seemed up for a run.
So, I moved forward to catch my new found venturers. One, a mid 90's Dodge Ram. White, lifted about 5 in's or so, and along the A-pillar a few gauges. Quite interesting. The other, a very sleek, black Ford F250 (2K+). More than likely, they wouldn't go lightly, but hey, a race is a race.
The driver in the Dodge looked down on me, smiling from ear to ear, I literally felt like he was going to fall through my sunroof he was leening over so far. I gazed up, nodded from under the brim of my cap, and pointed forward. No where else to go right?

. He held up three fingers. I smiled. And watched his hands. Apparently the Ford didn't catch this, and once I downshifted, he took that as his opportunity to go. So he did. I awaited the Dodge driver. 2 fingers. 1....GO! Without any trouble at all I pulled away foot by foot up until 70 where I let off. At this point that Ford driver came back. Looking as though he had won the battle.
Ah Red light. Excellent. We all stopped momentarily. The light changed so quickly that I didn't have the reaction time to get a launch. So, I did it from a complete stop, no launch and just slowly rolled off the line. By this time, I hear the loud grunt of the diesel. BAM! He was gone. I was stuck playing catch up, and the Ford. Well, it just didn't keep up so well. Although, you remember that M3? Well, he decided to cut loose, and within seconds I see it's gleaming grey body whiz past me, and catch right up to the Dodge. No problem at all. Shocked, I shifted up a few gears and played it off. The two now ahead of me took off, and the results were too obvious from the start. M3 left him behind.
So, being almost courageous enough, I decided to catch the M3. I crept up on him once again, and the dude inside rolled down his window. "Gotta keep those diesels in check right?" He smiled and I shook my head. "I'm having a pretty hard time doing it myself!" I replied to him. He nodded and laughed. The two trucks now came up on us again, and we both took off leaving them behind, and the M3 leaving me very far behind. I turned off, and I gave him a thumbs up, his replied with the same gesture. The two trucks came by, and I held up my hand throught the sunroof and gave them the same gesture. They also gave me the same response. I whipped it around, and decided to come back home.
I couldn't keep from smiling the entire way home. It was just an incredible feeling to have watching that M3 go at it. Cassiesman, you better get yourself a damn M3 like you plan. Forget your car as of now, don't even put any more money into it. Got it. As for me. I'm going water ballooning with some buds. Heh, gotta get those weirdos who are camping out on University waiting for that parade tomorrow.

. Enjoy!!
