I am currently wanting to put a d16z6 head onto my d15b7 block. I know this can be done as I have it seen it many times. Does any one know where I can find a complete write up on this swap? Also, does anyone know how had it would be to add a D16y8 intake manifold? I hear this is the "Type R" manifold of the D series. Should I change the throttle body to a d16 throttle body, or are they the same as a d15? Fuel injectors? Any help or comments would be appreciated!

Not To Discorage You But Your Better Of Doing A Full Swap. I Did The B16a And Love It. Unless You Plan On Doing It Yourself It Will More Than Likely Cheaper Too. when i was considering doing the same thing i found that in ca at least it's illegal (for smog at least) and the full swap was only 1000 more (installed).

Not To Discorage You either but the d16y8 manifold is not a type R manifold. it is like a mini type R .meaning it works a little like it.read about before. Its better to just get a d16 block instead of trying to put a d16 head on a d15 block.your gona get more out of a d16block with d16 head trust me. try getting a vtech head for ur d15 block if u dont want to spend a lot.
