I just bought a 96 taco with 163K on it. It is 2.7L 4wd xtra cab. I got error code P0110 IAT sensor circuit malfunction. What is the IAT sensor? Someone told me they thought it was the O2 sensor? Any ideas?

Also, whats the largest tires I can put under it without it rubbing?

Thanks for yalls help.

IAT is the Intake AirTemperature sensor. It located in the air intake system and built into the mass air flow meter in later trucks. If the air cleaner is good and the intake system hasn't been modified it will probably require some testing to determine the exact cause of the error.

Tires - 31's fit with no rubbing/trimming, 32's with minor trimming.

flash75 and corbinwaterski....thanks for the post.....flash75.....can I just replace the IAT sensor? As you can tell, I know hardly anything about vehicles. Thanks again.

It's built into mass air flow meter on newer trucks and I assume yours should be the same. It could be replaced (I understand they are very expensive) but the problem could be something else. A shop manual for your truck would help for someone running tests to find the source of the problem. I'm a recent beginner on tracking down OBD II problems and cannot offer much assia=stance beyond what a manual tells one to do.
