Dont ever run your engine without a thermostat. Some engines need it to properly circulate coolant, and without it, the engine will overheat and serious damage will result.
They make replacement radiators for higher than stock HP engines. More power = more heat. You have to get rid of that heat. A lower temp thermostat such as 160 degrees helps, and programing your fans to come on sooner helps as well. Thats what I would recomend doing, although I doubt you really have a cooling problem.
