I recently changed the bulbs on my 2000 taco
heres how:
1: behind the headlight unit there you will see a big black rubber seal, in the center is a plug, unplug it.
2: pull out rubber seal
3.there is a metal clip(looks like a metal wire hanger material) holding the bulb in, where the ends meet push down and up and it should unclip. old bulb will come right out.
4: DO NOT touch the glass portion of the new bulb or it will explode when it heats up due to the oil of your fingers or any other dirty surface it touches. The new bulb should fit like a puzzle with the 3 stubs on the side fitting into the notches behind the headlight.
5: reclip the bulb and reinstall the black seal making sure the plubs go through the center hole of the black seal, the black seal is marked "top" make sure that side goes up.
6: plug the bulb in the rear of the center of the black seal
7: turn lights on to make sure it worked
