Car Accident Experience

Just an FYI.. my wife was involved in an accident while driving our '95 Aurora the other day and I was very impressed with how well the car protected her during the crash. A driver pulled out in front of her in a Taurus wagon and my wife t-boned her at about 40 MPH. The other driver was cited and luckily there were no significant injuries. The Taurus will definitely not see the street again and I drove the Aurora home. As an aside, four years ago the same Aurora was rear-ended by a Honda Accord, which caused extensive damage to the front-end of the Honda and only slightly scratched the Aurora's bumper.

Auroras certainly have their share of mechanical issues, but, as you know they're a blast to drive when they're on. I always knew that the car was sturdy and would perform well in an accident, however, the protection provided by the Aurora went far beyond my expectations.

My body shop told me about the suv that he saw an aurora t-bone, rolled the suv right over. The aluminum beam in the aurora is a stout piece.
