Hi Everyone,

First time in the Rav4 section of Automotive forums ..........so Hello to all.

I did a search under MP3 but could not find anything.

My mother just took delivery of a 2005 Rav4. It came with a factory MP3 player. I tried to make her a disk and I ripped 6 cds worth and organized them in subdirectories (one subdirectory per album). This is the way I create MP3s for my aftermarket Sony player and I can easily go through folders or individual tracks. When I put the disc in her player it finds the first folder but does not see the others. It also thinks that there are about 100 files in this folder when there are only about 12. From 13 on nothing plays.

Is there some special format that the Toyota MP3 player needs to see? The disc works fine in my Sony. I used Roxio to rip and burn. I use the default settings. I tried different discs too. I ripp at a bit rate of 128. I looked at the owner's manual but very little is mentioned in regards to the MP3 player and formats.

Any ideas.

Thanks
