Re: theft system

Do a google search for VATS or pass key and read up on it. Not so hard to bypass the key deal if you know any electronics. Buy a module on Ebay and bypass the whole system but that's taking a chance on some risky electronic gizmo.

I had that problem with my brothers 96 grand am. If you dont mind a theft light being on. Take the shrouds off, unplug the sensor that goes into the back of the cylinder, and remove the sensor itself (it held in by one screw). The car should start right up. At least it did for his. And has ever since.
