Thanks for all your help jethro_3 06-16-2005, 03:47 AM Click on the gallery, left side, below your post lines just above my post and your sign in is the same sign in as the forum. Once you add a pic in the gallery you can open a second window and follow the directions when you click on the add picture icon. Good Luck. How do some manage to get their signature side-by-side pictures showing? I wan it all single spaced... I edit/take out the spaces, then preview again and it puts the spaces inbetween different lines... 2) how do you get your pictures to come out decent? I uploaded my pictures and added them to my sig. When I previewed them, it said they had to be less than 400 wide and 150 high. I shrunk them down again (from the original), and now they look like crap. Also, how do you get pic's posted without the AF.com shadow? Where/how do you upload them from? I tried the insert image and it wants a http:// address so I just copy/paste'd from my gallery. I was trying for a sig like Nigel215's. What am I doing wrong... do I need to become a computer programmer to use/understand this board signature panel. guumbah 06-25-2006, 11:43 AM I just spent the last hour messing around with my signature and am about at my wits end.... 1) every time I preview my sig after making a change, it adds spaces inbetween the lines which I did not put there. Something about that text editor is adding extra carriage returns, most likely due to the font formatting. I looked at the html in your sig, and there are extra div and br tags in between each line. I've worked with these in-page editors before (I'm a web admin) and that is a common thing. Some of them let you edit the HTML directly, but this one does not. Try erasing everything and starting from scratch. After you type in the text you want, single spaced, select all of it as a block, then do all your font and alignment formatting at once. It's putting font tags around each line, which seems to be forcing div tags and possibly the extra br's (which are line feed tags). For the pic, the quality might be due to how you resized it. Do you know the resolution? What program did you use to resize? Some of the built in crap they give you with digital cameras does not do a good job of this. If you don't have a good program, post it full size (if you can) and I can use Photoshop to resize and post it back... jeep_cj4x4 06-25-2006, 03:44 PM That did it! Thanks!
