Problem Fixed

For those that might be interested, I found out that the ignition switch was the issue. Simple job 30 minutes and car is running well again.

Hello Guys, I am new in this forum.

I have a Cavalier 97 2,2L engine automatic

I left the inside light on and in the morning did not start. I put a new battery, but now it does not start any more.
Seems to be a problem of the alarma system, I can start the engine with a screwdriver at the starter, but not from the ignition key. The wire that should be sending electricity to the starter when you move the ignition key, does not do that.

Is this wire protected by a fuse? any clue where the alarm system is located in the car?

Thank you for your help
