Musty A/C

Hi Everybody: I've got this musty smell coming out of the A/C on my 99GT
I've changed the Cabin Filter, but that didn't help.
Is there any way of cleaning this out or any Idea where this could be coming from(standing water somewhere?)
I'm worried about breathing in mold plus its making my cigarettes taste funny.
.

We get the same problem down South. They say that the smell is actually from microbes and bacteria. You might try this. Get some Lysol spray disinfectant (non-perfumed) or similar product. Remove the cabin air filter. With AC in normal not max position and blower on high, spray the disinfectant into the cowl air intake. I dumped half a can into the system. Put everything back together. Run it for a few days, weather permitting, but only in normal position, not max where air is brought in from outside only. Made a difference for me.

Plus here's some interesting info from your neck of the woods. Good Luck Wylie!
