ABS pump shot....

A couple of months ago I started hearing this 'buzzing' even after I turned off the engine and removed the key!! I was close to a dealership when this started so I drove over there for them to look at it. Guy told me the ABS pump was shot and pulled out the fuse for it to keep it from running and draining the battery. Dealer quoted $800 for the pump, and prob. another $800 for labor. Any 'cheaper' solutions to this problem? I've been driving for a couple of months without it just fine. Just have to make sure I don't slam on the brakes. 99' Silverado with 4.8L V8.

Thanks,
Dave

Check out circuitsolutions.info I had my ABS module repaired on my 99 Silverado by Gavin and had no problems. These people will save you big bucks. They give step by step instructions on how and what to do.
They also have a warranty. They service your module and get it back to you fast. Or you can go to the GM stealer and pay through the nose. Bubba14

Circuit Solutions

I went with Circut Solutions for the same problem with my '99 Silverado... Less than a week I had the part back and it performed flawlessly till I got rid of her for a new '05 Silverado.

So, I'm a very satisfied customer of Circut Solutions.

On a similar note, this forum has been able to give me information on any of my Silverado questions and saved me thousands of dollars over the past couple of years...

Thanks

Andy
