Angry No BRAKE Lights

Both rear brake lights do not work but the third brake light does. The taillights work. According to the Hanes wiring diagram the wire that operate the brake light goes back to the turn signal where all of the wiring of the the exterior lights junction. HELP!

I had the same thing happen. I took it to the dealer and they had to replace the main switch, which is the steering column, it was not a cheap repair.

Do you know what they replaced? I talked with a mechanic and he said it was also in the column. It is a 2000 GTP.

They are to replace the turn signal arm and the signal box inside the steering column I believe it was about $400 at the dealer for parts and labor

Turn signal switch is bad. Replace that and all will be well again.

Good luck,

Re: No BRAKE Lights

Is the brake light issue common with 2000 GTP's? I have the same problem and I've heard of others.........
