body shop or touch up paint?

yeah so about 3 months ago I scratched the side of my car backing out of my driveway and now have a deep scratch on the rear right fender. I've been too lazy to fix it but now its starting to bug me just seeing it there all the time. I ordered some touch up paint from Honda and will have it by monday. the scratch is pretty deep, you can see the black part of the fender, its a small scratch but its deep. but anyway my question is, should I bring it to the body shop to get fixed or will touch up paint fix it?? the color of the car is like a pearlized white.

Re: body shop or touch up paint?

The touch up wont be perfect, so you need to decide for yourself. Do you want it less noticeable, or completely unnoticable.

Re: body shop or touch up paint?

how much do you think it would cost to bring it to the body shop? I will try to get a pic later of the scratch so you can get a better idea.

I just thought of something...

Okay, well my mom is an artist and can basically paint/draw anything. She mensioned airbrushing the touch up paint on to the scratch, so that it would look neater and smoother. Then let it dry for a day or 2, wax and buff it out. Could I airbrush the scratch, or would that not work?
