ZC & a T3/T4 Turbo, Whats safe psi?

Sup all. I got a 92 civic, with a zc single cam motor in it. SOHC

Now, i want to turbo it, wanna run about 10 psi maybe 12 MAX. What should i do to run that safely?

Some people tell me the block will handle it easily, and some say i should really get rods and pistons, and well a new head gasket.

That true? Or should i be fine on stock internals for 10 psi?

That's my ride. I know going b16a2 and turbo is the best thing. But dont really wanna spend 2000$ on a motor w/ install. Kinda wanna work with what i got.

Do a compression check first, make sure your engine is worth turboing.
Next, it's all about tuning. If you want quite a bit of power, you HAVE to tune it. If you can't or don't want to spend the $ to get a good engine managment system and get it professionally tuned; then you might as well take your $ out of your wallet and set it on fire. Honestly, you'll blow your engine if you boost that much without a great tune. and good EMS. But I'd recommend checking out www.turbod16.com (http://www.turbod16.com) Search the forum for all the info you'll need, and do it before you start asking questions over there (they'll rip you a new one for being lazy and not searching).

You will need more than just a tune to boost 10psi. Look closer to boosting 7-8psi with a great tune. You are going to have to worry about your rods, detonation etc before you boost 10psi.

tune my left fucking nut. shit, his question is how much boost can he run!! you need to stay under 25lb/min airflow on your stock internals. i would'nt run more then 15lb/min personaly. so turbo sellection is the most important. you can do it the wrong way, or the right way. if you make a goal and stick with it, your golden. if you switch around alot like a kid on sugar, you will spend alot of $$$.

the reasion im saying this is becasue every turbo flows diffrent at diffrent psi. selection is key. "everything" else comes after that.
