1.8L Beta in LC2 and hi-revving

i am planing to build a hi-revving beta motor. i was going to do it with the beta 2 2.0L found in 2002 Elantra but after do my homework it will cost a lot to do and is hard to because it is a 2.0L. then last night i rembers that there was a 1.8L beta 1. can i put the 1.8L beta 1 in my Lc2?? how hi do you think i can go with the 1.8L?? i was thing 8500-9000 Rpm.
