97 F150 4x4 inop

I have a 97 F150 in which the front axle will not engage. I checked the vaccume actuator and applied vaccume to both sides and that works fine. I checked the switch on the transfer case and that is working fine also. The system is only supplying vaccume to the actuator for 2wd mode and will not supply vaccum in 4wd mode to engage the front axle.

I'm having the same problem. I was wondering if you found anything out or if someone makes a kit to engage-disengage it manually.

Thanks
