Hi. Does any one know the idle specs on a 2003 s10 4.3? Just bought one and the idle is about 1100rpm. just seems kinda high. Am I wrong? also when I accelerate from a stop it seems to bog a little then smooths out. thanks

That does sound high, I'm thinking it should be around 850.

between 750 and 900 is where you wanna be at a warm idel, cold you may hit the grand to 1100 mark

got a 99 4.3 , idles bout 1000 when cold , but idles about 5-600 when warm , dunno many....coolant temp sensor gone bad?

Our 01 idles at about 550, too low for me but the dealerr tech said it was like this on all of them, saves gas or emissions or something. 1000 rpm is too high for some reason.

yeah my 96 is about 500
