95 Cavalier A/C problem??????

Have noticed lately a antifreeze type of smell when the A/C or the heat is on. I get up very early to go to work and the windshield likes to fog up on the inside and with the air turned all the way up, I'm lucky if I can get a small area clear in order to see. Later in day, smell still there but is warmer out I guess so windshield stays clear. I have no idea what it may be and any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

Check the heater core for leaks, and keep a close eye on the coolant levels. Have a look at the floor under where the core is mounted. Use some paper towel to lightly scrub the area on the floor and check for absorbed coolant. This is a good time to check the hoses to/from the heater core for leakage. Small cracks can develop where the enter the firewall and coolant can seep out and the fumes drawn into the interior of the car.
