Question 1997 S10 weird Problem

I have a 4.3L V6 Vortec '97 S-10 LS and Im having a strange problem with it. Whenever I turn on my AC my ABS and Brake lights come on...in addition the AC does not blow any air. I actually had this problem 4 years ago and the dealer replaced my ignition switch which supposedly fixed the problem. Im not too sure what the ignition switch has to do with either of those systems to cause that problem. I bought a Haynes book for my car but the electrical diagrams dont detail anything for the ignition switch itself. As a test I decided to buy my own switch and install it, that way if it works, good, if not i return it and take my truck in to be fixed. Unfortunately the job is more cumbersome than i thought. I managed to take my front console apart and remove the bottom half of the steering column cover, but the top half is locked in by the key lock and steering wheel. I could probably get it out if it wasnt for having a airbag, and Im not sure I want to tamper with that at all. I have access to the main ignition switch box but not the smaller white piece that is routed into the top half of the stearing column cover, if could get that out and replace the new one id be set. Does anyone have any suggestions or maybe a place where i can get a full set of wiring diagrams so I can see what all is going to the ignition switch. Thanks in advance for the help

Your local library is a good place to start. Also check with your local Chevy dealer; the service dept. may make you a copy of the schematics for little or no charge (depending on their degree of customer friendliness). I have bought GM service manuals for most of my vehicles from eBay, except for my 96 S-Blazer, which no one seems to have a genuine service manual for.
