Re: blinking brake light indicator

It would help to know year and model (C or K, 1500/2500/3500).

ABS codes are retrieved similar to the check engine light codes, however, finding the fault codes for them are a little more difficult. You might try Mitchell Repair Manual for your year and make. I had a fault in mine once after washing the undercarriage. Unplugging the fuse for twenty to thirty seconds, with the engine off, then plugging it back in, will determine if it's a transient code. If it isn't, it will return.

Re: blinking brake light indicator

I have a 90 Factory Service Manual at home. I can look up the code later tonight and post the results.

Re: blinking brake light indicator

According to my 90 FSM, you have a code 7 which is Shorted Isolation valve or faulty ecu.

The Isolation valve is near the control module between the master cylinder and steering gear box.

I would check the electrical connections at the valve first.
